Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the ongoing fires and loss. Our team is safe. And we are grieving with all of our neighbors facing new realities. We will continue to help however we can. We’ve had a number of people reach out about garden and food safety so in the next week we will be sharing science-based info on food and garden issues. If you have questions about your gardens or what our compost bins can take, DM us. We’re happy to help.

Students at Santa Fe planted a new pollinator space, to bring native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators to our garden! This was made possible by the @xercessociety Habitat Kits that are making their way into our expanding secondary spaces! We discussed what it means for a plant or other organism to be native to a place, and the importance of supporting our local biodiversity. Get ready for a lot of Spring activity and observations! 🌱🌼🦋🐝

With the help of oven space @sauteacademy over 20 pies were donated to Foothill Unity Center @foothillunitycenter by you, our end of year donors! 🥧 We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday filled with gratitude and pie!

This innovative event helped spotlight local artists like our very own @art.by.kell, while also providing a way to get involved in climate action by educating and directing action through planting native plants with @californiavolunteers. We also got to share snacks using California native ingredients, using recipes from an Indigenous cookbook, Chími Nu’am by author Sara Calvosa Olson. Stay tuned for more events coming soon! 🌱

Today, we had more than 30 volunteers show up, including many students and their families. In activating Clifton’s garden space it has not only become a center for outdoor learning, but a space where the community can come together and make a difference.
